Why Sacred Support
With 17 years of experience as nurses across various clinical settings, we have come to recognize a critical gap that medical professionals often struggle to address—supporting individuals through the profound journeys of birthing and dying. It’s evident that few end-of-life care specialists are adequately trained in birth work, and few birth workers possess the skills to navigate the complexities of caring for the dying or supporting the bereaved. However, we understand that holding space for both these transformative experiences requires similar levels of compassion and expertise.
As certified doulas, we are equipped with essential skills such as adult and infant CPR, first aid, whole person listening and baby feeding techniques. Through Birth With Spirit, we have access to advanced training and a robust local network of midwives, lactation consultants, and bodyworkers for seamless referrals. We deeply respect the sanctity of transitions, whether ushering new life into the world or guiding individuals through their final journey.
